CCTV ancillary equipment manufacturer, Metham Aviation Design Ltd. (MAD) has announced the promotion of Gay Craddock to Managing Director. The move allows former MD and shareholder, Steve Nash to concentrate on the design and development of new products.
As a former employee of Dennard, Gay has a wealth of experience in the CCTV industry and joined MAD 18 months ago to head up company operations.
Chairman, Mike Metham said, These changes will be of mutual benefit to us and our customers. Gay will use her skills to implement new working methods to improve efficiency, while Steve is now free to focus his expertise fully on accelerating the introduction of innovative new products to the market.
The appointment follows the recent doubling of MADs Hampshire, UK production facility to 12,000 sq.ft. and earlier acquisition of an engineering concern to enhance the companys machining capability and capacity. Business has grown rapidly during the first half of 2007 as a direct result.
Mike Metham explains, Demand for our brand of high quality precision equipment is on the increase. MADs reputation rapidly spreading overseas with major contracts being won as far apart as South Africa and the Middle East. The investment represented by this expansion is vital in order for us to keep pace - particularly with the anticipated arrival of new models.
New latest technology CNC machines have been installed to complement existing units and staffing levels in the assembly department increased. Still further appointments are anticipated.
MAD claim to be unique in the ancillary CCTV equipment industry with design, manufacture and assembly all under one roof. The company specialises in rugged weatherproof Pan & Tilt heads including continuous rotation models, environmental housings and associated accessories.
