MAD heads just get bigger and bigger...

Building on the success of their widely acclaimed IP68 rated, maintenance-free Topper and Bowler models, UK manufacturer MAD has launched a heavy duty pan & tilt to provide much needed support for the growing market in longer, larger lensed cameras.

MAD’s new Homburg is capable of handling up to 45kg mounted over the top and an even heftier 50kg mounted on the side. As with all MAD pan & tilt heads, a continuous rotation option is also available.

MAD Sales Director, Stuart Reynold’s said, “MAD products are recognised for their quality, reliability and value for money. This is, I believe, due in part to the competitive advantage that having design, manufacture and assembly under one roof gives us. The new heavy duty Homburg pan & tilt is based on the proven technology incorporated into our Bowler and Topper models which are widely specified for demanding applications such as Highways and Traffic Management, Town Centres and prisons. This latest addition should make the MAD range of ancillaryCCTV equipment even more attractive to specifiers, installers and end users alike.”

Although keen to point out that the new head has a universal mounting plate to fit virtually any housing, MAD also announced its own matching weather-proof model. Their latest Mitre environmental housing measures (h)260 x (w)233 x (l)760mm overall and comes with a range of options including heater and self-parking wiper assembly.
